Campaign Complete - Broadband
 Internet Access Available

UPDATES:         [campaign complete]

==>Jan 2004 - Broadband internet access available !

==>16th September - BT issue our RFS date: 17/12/2003. You no longer need to register an interest - you are now able to pre-order your Broadband connection.
A good place for further information (FAQ's and ISP reviews) is www.adslguide.org

==>8th September - 300 registrations reached !
BT now carry out some validation on the registrations and provide a Ready For Service (RFS) date. This should happen over the next couple of weeks. The RFS date is likely to be sometime in January - watch this space...
Also BT have announced that from 24th September they are able to increase the coverage area. This extends the distance from the exchange that Broadband services are available to 6km - which should cover all residents' within the Knockholt Exchange.

==>23rd August registrations are currently 243.
Leaflets have been distributed to the residents of Knockholt, Halstead and Badgers Mount and the response is very positive.

==>30th June 2003 there have been 167 registrations in Knockholt - Our 'trigger level' is 300.  The current registration figures should appear in the 'thermometer'  on the left.

Although ADSL Broadband is already available in many parts of the country we haven't got it locally.
However, all it takes is for enough people in our local area
(01959 53...) to show their genuine interest in ordering Broadband - and we can have it available here!

Broadband can really make a difference to people living and working in this area - whether you use the internet for personal or business use.  Some of the benefits include:

  •  Internet access up to 40 times faster

  • The freedom to use the phone at the same time as the internet

  • All for not much more than an anytime 'dialup' package

Registering your interest in ordering Broadband will help determine if our local BT exchange will be upgraded for ADSL Broadband - Please ask your friends and neighbours (on 01959 53 exchange) to register.
